In follow-up to Abbie's message, I want to let everyone know that co-chairing the Content WG has been a great experience, and I enjoyed working with Abbie and with all of you. The co-chair position brings many opportunities for networking and getting involved with people around the country. The workload is manageable, and our LC colleagues are always a pleasure to work with. I encourage you to strongly consider throwing your name in the hat for this co-chair role. After serving valiantly in the co-chair role for almost four years, Cathy has decided to step down from her co-chair position after the summer meeting this year, so we are seeking a new alliance member co-chair for the Content Working Group. Also to better define the terms of this role, we've been working with the coordinating committee to establish new co-chair policies, which include new two-year term limits. We hope to have identified a new co-chair well ahead of the summer meeting so there can be some transition time/overlap; ideally we'll have someone selected before our next meeting. Anyone who is a current member can apply for the co-chair role by drafting a brief interest statement. Send your statement to Abbie Grotke ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) by Friday, May 23, 2014. Alliance working group co-chairs will be elected by the working group. The last week in May these statements will be published to the Content WG membership at large, along with an announcement of the election.
