HathiTrust Government Documents Registry Developer

The University of Michigan Library Systems Office is seeking a talented, resourceful software developer to design, implement, and populate a Registry of metadata describing and identifying the comprehensive corpus of U.S. federal government documents.  Government documents offer an interesting metadata challenge, with titles and authoring entities changing names, merging/splitting, and generally complicating the publication history. The successful candidate will work to understand and model these relationships, working closely with the HathiTrust government documents Registry Analyst and consulting/collaborating with developers, subject experts, and others in the HathiTrust and/or broader library community as needed.  This is a term-limited position, funded for two years, with the possibility of renewal.
