he RCUK Centre for Copyright & New Business Models in the Creative Economy
(CREATe - www.create.ac.uk) is established with initial funding of £5m from
the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC), the Economic & Social Research
Council (ESRC) and the Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council
(EPSRC). This interdisciplinary research hub is engaging with key research
challenges in the creative economy relating to copyright and digital
transformations. Based at the University of Glasgow, CREATe draws upon a
consortium of research expertise from 7 participating HEIs across the UK
(Glasgow, Edinburgh, Goldsmiths, Nottingham, St Andrews, Strathclyde and UEA).

  
You will be responsible for maximising the impact of CREATe's digital identity
by maintaining, developing and designing tools to exploit datasets, including
those developed by CREATe and those originating elsewhere. You will also
develop a suite of digital resources showcasing CREATe's research activities,
facilitating knowledge transfer and enhancing impact, and, more generally,
keep CREATe web resources updated, as directed.

  
We are looking for someone who has an understanding of issues and UK funder
responsibilities associated with data management and sharing. Your knowledge
of best practice for presenting digital content online and of best practice
for administering and maintaining digital information and associated
technological platforms, will be second to none. With several years'
experience in a similar or related role, you will have demonstrable experience
of producing online digital resources as well as expertise in the manipulation
and exploitation of digital datasets. Web programming skills including
understanding of PHP, JQuery and Wordpress, are essential.

  
Whilst this post is initially offered on a full time basis, we are flexible
and can offer on a part time basis depending on the successful candidate's
circumstances.
