A bit disconcerting when a page touting courses digital curation has numerous key links that don't work.

Subject: [NDSA-ALL] Discounted online course in digital collections and exhibitions

Hi all,

I thought some of you might want to know about a discount this fall on an online course that teaches PHP and MySQL for digital curators.

PHP is the dominant database script on the Web. PHP powers over 80% of websites with server-side programming, including WordPress, Drupal, and Omeka. If you've ever wondered how to adapt one of these packages or make your own from scratch, "Digital Collections and Exhibitions" (DIG 540) is your course.

It's taught by John Bell, now at Dartmouth, and covers how to add your collection to a database, create an online exhibition, and customize it using PHP and CSS. More at http://DigitalCuration.UMaine.edu.

Enjoy what's left of summer!
