Systems Librarian Philadelphia University Philadelphia Technical expertise and understanding of library software, systems and applications. Library instruction and Reference skills; Knowledge of e-book and e-video cataloging, including an understanding of MARC record format. Ability to learn new technical skills and apply them in the library setting. Web development and design skills. Academic library experience preferred. EDUCATION REQUIRED: ALA-accredited master's degree in library science or an associated area. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage, implement, and provide technical support for library software and systems, including the Sirsi/Horizon integrated library system, the library's discovery tool, chat and interlibrary loan systems, LibGuides, and overall design and maintenance of the library's Web page gateway. Performs information literacy instruction, reference service, cataloging, troubleshooting, and setup of electronic resources. Maintain currency with trends in library systems and take a major role in planning, implementing, and training for the adoption and integration of new library technologies.
