We will be presenting two Drupal workshops at Internet Librarian on Sunday, October 27th. The morning session, Drupal Essential Tools: Beyond the Basics, takes an in-depth look at essential site-building tools such as Views, Entity Reference, Display Modes and Blocks, and how these tools can ease the creation of a site that is customized to your specific needs without diving into module development or template files. It will also cover the powerful Features module and how it can be used to aid collaborative development and clean deployments. The afternoon session, Taking Your Site to the Next Level with Drupal, will offer insight into how to choose the right tool for your application, when there are several seemingly equivalent tools that seem appropriate. Common examples: Panels vs. Context + Display Suite? Workflow vs. Workbench? Field Collection vs. Field Group? This workshop covers what these tools do, how to use them, and, most importantly, how to choose the right option for your specific site. The morning session is suitable for anyone with even a little Drupal experience, while the afternoon session will be a little more specific and will help you answer practical questions. The fee for each workshop is $179 and you can register at http://internet-librarian.infotoday.com/2014/Register.aspx. We hope to see you there!
