_JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:_

  
The SCLENDS Coordinator serves as the central and primary first point of
contact for all technical issues of the consortium. The responsibilities of
this role include, but are not limited to:

  
SUPPORT:

Provides first level technical support for issues reported by Evergreen System
Administrators. Ensures timely follow up, and resolution of, support requests
to ensure that issues are elevated, resolved and documented as
required. Liaise between library system tier one
administrators and tier two and three technical support resources.

  
Facilitate periodic onsite support and training for member libraries. Testing
configuration for member libraries. Submit monthly reports to
Board. Level of support 24/7 and local troubleshooting.

  
Participates in the wide Evergreen community via appropriate communication
channels such as listservs, conferences, presentations, etc., and informs the
Executive Board as to issues and developments in the wider community.



Administers and updates a repository of documentation for the SCLENDS
Evergreen implementation to include; system configuration, library system
specific requirements and policy settings and systems administrator training
standards.

Administers the content on SCLENDS web and help desk sites.

  
Compiles monthly statistical reporting that details technical support
issues,bug reports, feature requests, training activities, outages, and system
performance metrics.

  
Ability to administer test server. Formulates and
prioritizes development recommendations to the Executive Board with regards to
the ILS (Evergreen). Undertakes special projects as
directed by the Information Technology Director.

  
COORDINATE:



Tracks and documents all bugs, feature requests and system changes.

Facilitates the scheduling of and centralizes all communication for Evergreen
system updates, upgrades, maintenance events, training activities and
migration of a new library systems.

Coordinates and serves as moderator for the scheduling, location and agenda
for periodic system administrator meetings and training events.

  
Develop and maintain best practices and procedures. Coordinates training for
system administrators. Work as a team with other member libraries and SCLENDS
professionals.

  
_MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:_

  
A bachelor's degree and experience in automated information or communication
system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing. Related
experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year
basis.

  
Desired skills and experience:

Strong customer service orientation.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working with matrix and cross functional teams.

Experience using CMS, desktop publishing and project tracking tools.

  
_PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:_

  
Candidate must have and or be able to develop the following:

Knowledge of design, configuration, administration, features, operation and
documentation of Integrated Library Systems.

Knowledge of cataloging principles including MARC and RDA.

Experience with one or more of the following; HTML, Perl, PostgreSQL, JQuery,
AngularJS, JavaScript, Apache, Jabber.

Demonstrated understanding of; Linux, Microsoft Windows, TCP/IP.
