Asst Professor in Digital Curation

The School of Library & Information Science is seeking to fill a tenure-track
Assistant Professor position in digital curation, with an anticipated start of
August, 2015. The successful candidate will have a joint appointment with the
LSU Center for Computation & Technology (CCT) and will also work
collaboratively in the digital curation initiative on the LSU campus. We are
interested in candidates whose research and teaching expertise are in data
curation, big data incubation, or data sciences (e.g., metadata, data
provenance for data mining, data integration and data fusion for big
data).

  
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in a related field or equivalent is required by
date of hire. ABD candidates may apply. Candidates should demonstrate a
potential of excellence in research and publications, ability to teach
effectively, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
