Developer / Analyist
University of California, Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara

The University of California Santa Barbara Library is hiring a programmer /
developer / analyist to join our growing IT group within the library.

We're focussed on building user friendly websites and pragmatic software of
many types to support the academic library.

We leverage open source software when we can which is most of the time.
Most of our systems are hosted on Linux servers in a
central data center controlled by the system administrators who are part of
our Operations team. We work closely with the Operations
team to craft modern testing and release practices.

We're building a digital repository based on Fedora 4 and the Hydra Ruby on
Rails stack.

We run, maintain and enhance our Ex Libris - Aleph based
ILS which serves all areas of the library from Discovery, Circulation,
Catalogging and Aquisitions.

We have good support for ongoing training and conference attendance (e.g.
Eluna, Code4Lib)

And we live/work in Southern California just 90 miles from Los Angeles.

If you're interested in joining our team please apply at the link provided on
the right.
