Search Extended - Engineering Librarian (tenure-track), Cal Poly San Luis Obispo California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo Cal Poly's ACRL award-winning Kennedy Library invites applications for the tenure-track faculty position of Engineering Librarian. The successful candidate will be an innovative librarian who enjoys working closely with faculty to foster 21st century information skills in a multidisciplinary "learn by doing" university environment. As a member of the Cal Poly faculty and working with a team of talented and collaborative librarians, staff, and student assistants, the Engineering Librarian will play a key role in supporting the learning and research needs of engineering students and faculty at the College of Engineering (CENG) in a selective, multidisciplinary polytechnic environment. Additional responsibilities include: providing instruction and developing instructional resources to support College and campus learning outcomes; developing and managing library information resources to support engineering; and participating in new and ongoing projects involving data services, scholarly communication, and other library initiatives. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in information services and resources to support engineering disciplines and professions; enjoy working closely with faculty and students; and will have demonstrated skills in instruction as well as the use of technology to meet student and faculty information needs. This full-time, tenure-track position is available at the Senior Assistant or Associate Librarian level, with an anticipated hiring range of $61,000-$70,000.
