The Cary Graphic Arts Collection at Rochester Institute of Technology seeks a
Project Archivist to process, arrange, and describe a recently acquired
collection related to typeface and logotype design. This is a grant-funded,
full-time, four-month appointment.

  
**DUTIES**:  

  * Project Archivist will create a processing plan, and is responsible for the arrangement, housing, and description of the Ed Benguiat Collection.
  * Project Archivist will create an item-level DACS compliant finding aid using Archivists Toolkit.
**Required Minimum Qualifications**  

  * Previous experience in processing and describing archival collections following national standards and best practices.
  * Experience using Archivists Toolkit or other archival data management systems.
**Required Minimum Education Level**

  * BS
  * BFA
  * BA
**Preferred Qualifications**  
Masters degree in library science or archival studies preferred, but not
required, as well as a background in graphic design history.
