Senior Digital Services Librarian University of Baltimore Baltimore The University of Baltimore's Langsdale Library is seeking a Senior Integrated Digital Services Librarian to lead the library's technology planning, including the implementation of the next-generation ILS (a University System of Maryland consortial system). He/she will oversee the support of library IT hardware and software in both Windows and OSX environments, including UB's integrated library system, interlibrary loan and reserves systems and archives digital platform. In collaboration with another IDS librarian, the candidate will design and maintain library's web properties, including website, mobile site, and library presence within UB's learning management system. S/he will serve on the library's leadership team that collaboratively reviews library policies and procedures, and makes strategic decisions about the library's direction and initiatives. He/she will support technology applications in all library departments, including interlibrary loan, course reserves and digital collections. The successful candidate will maintain an in-depth understanding of technological trends and developments affecting academic libraries through a commitment to ongoing professional development. He/she must be able to work both independently and collaboratively with librarians from Langsdale and the UB Law Library, campus IT staff, and the University Webmaster. This full-time faculty appointment actively participates on University of Baltimore and University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institution (USMAI) committees and task groups. Required Education and Experience * Education: Master's of Library Sciences from ALA-accredited library school or equivalent degree. * Experience: At least one year of experience in a library setting and at least one year of experience in a supervisory role. Preferred Education and Experience * Education: BS in Information Technology or related field focused on library systems and/or digital services. * Experience: At least three years of experience in an academic library and/or two years of experience supporting IT systems in an academic setting.
