The Senior Library Applications Developer provides leadership for developers throughout Digital Technologies in establishing best practices for software development and serves as part of the Digital Technologies project management team to regularly plan and coordinate work, and to regularly review and revise project management practices.  S/He serves as lead developer on high impact projects and is currently responsible for the planning and implementation of the Library’s combined Discovery service (Blacklight/Summon), including the integration of data from external data sources (ILS, Brown Digital Repository, HathiTrust, VIVO). S/he is also responsible for the applications that drive the VIVO service. Additionally, s/he provides expertise and software development for new initiatives, contributes to other Library software development projects as needed, and seeks out opportunities to apply existing technologies for the improvement of Library services.
