Registration is open and the preliminary program is available for the IS&T Archiving Conference. 

This year, DLF has become a cooperating organization for the conference, which "brings together an international community of imaging experts and technicians as well as curators, managers, and researchers from libraries, archives, museums, records management repositories, information technology institutions, and commercial enterprises to explore and discuss the field of digitization of cultural heritage and archiving.”

The Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T) is pleased to announce the release of the Archiving 2016 Preliminary Program.

The program provides an overview of the conference, as well as information on the Short Course Program and Behind-the-Scenes Tours. A number of new courses are offered this year, including Computational Photography Techniques for Cultural Heritage Documentation and Archiving, Spectral Imaging—Spectral Capture and Processing, and Assessing Formats for Preservation.

Conference Keynotes:

  • Spectral Imaging of Manuscripts: Recovery of the Past and Preservation for the Future, Roger Easton (RIT) and Keith Knox (consultant)

  • Implementing Practices that Lead to Use or Reuse of your Collections, Emily Gore (Digital Public Library of America)
