Digital Library App Programmer Analyst Intermediate University of Michigan Ann Arbor The Department of Learning Health Sciences (DLHS) at the University of Michigan Medical School is seeking an Applications Programmer/Analyst Intermediate to support a range of programming tasks in support of its technical development for the Division of Learning and Knowledge Systems. While the work is not limited to a single project, a major ongoing project is the development of a web-based knowledge repository using Fedora Commons and its associated digital object structure. More than another content management system, the knowledge repository under development combines concepts from digital library systems, code repositories and advice-giving systems to form a new thing. This project involves development of an application programmable interface (API) for the knowledge repository, integration with and extension of tailored messaging tools, integrating with query platforms such as PopMedNet, integration with APIs from third-party data providers, and building and integrating a number of web applications that interact with the digital knowledge repository.
