::::Please excuse cross postings:::: The University of Connecticut Digital Scholarship and Data Curation unit, along with Greenhouse Studios at the University of Connecticut seeks an experienced web developer to serve as Digital Scholarship and Repository Analyst in a full-time role at UConn's Storrs campus. An innovative and fast-moving collaboration between the University Library, UConn's School of Fine Arts, and the Humanities Institute, Greenhouse Studios draws insight from the design disciplines to create, implement, assess, and disseminate a sustainable, collaboration-first scholarly communications process. Now let's talk about you. You're a developer, through and through. You eat, sleep, and breathe HTML, CSS/Sass, JavaScript, PHP (or some other backend language), and MySQL (or other database technology). In your travels, you've gained experience with web content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla. You might even have encountered some of the CMS solutions we use for our specialized purposes, like Fedora Commons/Islandora and Omeka. You're familiar with (or at least excited about) frameworks and libraries like jQuery, Rails, and CodeIgniter. You've got your finger on the pulse of your industry, and you can't wait to poke around with modern and emerging technologies like Docker, Google Cloud, AngularJS, NodeJS, MongoDB, and others. Naturally, you know how to manage your source code using a revision control system like Git. The web is your home. You're a team player. You're just as comfortable working with a team of scholars, designers, writers, and other developers as you are slapping on a pair of headphones and disappearing into a coffee-fueled coding session. Since your job is to bring technological solutions to researchers from all disciplines, in support of varied efforts, you thrive on working collaboratively.
