Your job with us…
Provide expertise and leadership in developing geospatial data services for campus. Advocate for new and emerging practices in use of data including creating and using open data. Develop education, training, and outreach programs for faculty, students, and staff, and provide guidance to all members of the UT Arlington community on tools, best practices, and resources related to use of spatial and numeric data in research and teaching.

What you bring…
Requirements: Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program or a related graduate degree; demonstrated organizational, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and planning skills; computer literate and technologically adept.

Preferred: An understanding of the research process as demonstrated by academic or work experience. Project management experience involving designing, leading, and completing a project within scope. High degree of computer literacy and experience with geospatial and GIS software, tools, and database systems and management. Experience with geospatial and numeric data sources and the ability to work with and transfer between many file formats. Desire and enthusiasm to work in a rapidly changing environment.  Knowledge of national and international trends in geospatial data analysis and visualization, including its application in a variety of fields and for a variety of purposes. Teaching experience in an academic environment. Understanding of geospatial metadata and data curation standards and practices.
