Greetings:

The DLF Assessment Interest Group (AIG) will be sharing the progress made by working groups and soliciting volunteers for new projects during next week's 2016 Forum.

On Monday, November 7, AIG representatives will present "Digital Library Assessment: Collaborative Development of Guidelines and Tools<https://dlfforum2016.sched.org/event/8LG5/m1d-digital-library-assessment-collaborative-development-of-guidelines-and-tools>" from 11:00 to 11:55 a.m. We invite Forum attendees to hear about the latest work around costs, analytics, metadata, cultural assessment, reuse, and user studies.

Following the presentation, AIG members will host the Digital Library Assessment Lunch<https://dlfforum2016.sched.org/event/8LG8/m2a-lunchtime-session-digital-library-assessment-lunch> from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Lunch discussions will focus on determining next steps for working groups, identifying areas for new working groups, and connecting new participants with preferred working groups. This will be the perfect time to show your interest in AIG and find others who are also interested in the diverse world of digital library assessment.

For more information on the DLF AIG and its active working groups (including Analytics, Costs, Cultural Assessment, Metadata, and User Studies), please visit our wiki<https://wiki.diglib.org/Assessment> page. Questions on the DLF AIG and its work can be sent to Santi Thompson<mailto:[log in to unmask]>, AIG co-coordinator.

See you in Milwaukee!

          -Santi
