Dear Content Interest Group members,

As many of you know, a small working group came together last fall to develop a new survey of web archiving in the U.S., following on NDSA surveys in 2011<http://www.digitalpreservation.gov/documents/ndsa_web_archiving_survey_report_2012.pdf> and 2013<http://ndsa.org/documents/NDSA_USWebArchivingSurvey_2013.pdf>, to track and document current web archiving practices, as well as to gain a sense for emerging trends in the field. You may have seen overviews of the results of the 2016 survey, conducted between January 20-February 16<http://blogs.loc.gov/thesignal/2016/01/survey-how-do-you-approach-web-archiving/>, at the SAA Web Archiving Roundtable meeting in August and at Digital Preservation 2016.

The draft report from the survey is now available for comments and feedback from interest group members at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OHEgHX3fyx-i8TCFyQz3-3S0i-uic_2VM2kgNo5t63M/edit#heading=h.86aquwn94n82

We would very much appreciate any feedback you can provide before next Thursday, December 15. Feel free to add comments to the Google doc or send them directly via e-mail. I'm happy to pass them on to group.

Thanks in advance on behalf of the Web Archiving Survey working group!

Best,
Christie Moffatt
