Content providers want to minimize cancellation due to under-utilization while maximizing efficiencies in their business. Libraries want to ensure that users aren’t blocked from content to which they should have rights. *More About Our Speakers:* *Improving Clarity Around Continuing Access* *Adam Rusbridge*, *Project Manager, EDINA, University of Edinburgh* Librarians encounter a variety of issues when managing access to e-journals, and these issues become more complex as we consider the medium- to long-term. Journals transfer between publishers, subscriptions change over time and entitlement information is lost, and journal content can disappear if publishers fail. We will outline the range of problems encountered by libraries and consider steps that can be taken to improve assurance of access. *Adam Rusbridge is a project manager at EDINA, University of Edinburgh, who specializes in issues around long-term preservation and continuing access to electronic content. He has been involved in a range of projects and services, including the Keepers Registry, UK LOCKSS Alliance and Jisc SafeNet project.* *Athena Hoeppner*, Electronic Resources Librarian, University of Central Florida (Title and Abstract to Come) *Athena Hoeppner is the Electronic Resources Librarian at the University of Central Florida. She has 20 years of department-spanning experience in academic libraries. She has worked in Reference and Instruction, Library Systems, and now resides in Acquisitions, where she coordinates eResources acquisitions and maintains systems that enhance discovery and access.* *Athena’s work and research center on applying technology to connect users to content. Her projects explore interfaces and usability, user experience (UX), and innovations in discovery and access technologies.* *Challenge Accepted! Tips to ensuring that patrons have access to paid content* *Jennifer Leffler*, *Technical Services Manager, University of Northern Colorado* Safeguarding patrons’ access to paid content is a hallmark of the work of electronic resources librarians. While this is a known role, the challenges are vast and varied. Access problems arise at many stages of the lifecycle of electronic resources, from purchase and renewal to vendor changes and cancellation. This talk will look at specific examples of access issues from a mid-sized, state institution and provide ideas on how to compact these difficulties. *Jen is a Technical Services Manager at the University of Northern Colorado.
