The Metadata Support Group started informally as a lunch session <https://dlfforum2016.sched.com/event/8LGA/m2c-lunchtime-session-metadata-support-group> at the 2016 DLF Forum <https://www.diglib.org/forums/2016forum/> and then as a community on Slack. As of May 2017, we are an official DLF Interest Group!
