Two respectful library managers will give you some insights from the employers. In this session, they are going to address some hot topics including · What qualities they look for in candidates? · Is the cover letter dead or of central importance? · What information in resumes is useful? · Sample interview questions. Speakers: Gwen Gregory, Head of Resource Acquisition and Management at University of Illinois at Chicago Jee Davis, Associate University Librarian for Collections at Villanova University Audience: The session is geared towards the full range of ALA attendees, from library school students to late-career metadata professionals, including the perspective of “traditional cataloger” and/or “metadata specialist” from a variety of institutions.
