Subject: [CODE4LIB] old dog signing off - retirement

Just a note to say that I will be signing off this list later this month due to my imminent retirement. I subscribed on the day the code4lib list was publicly announced (back on December 9, 2003!), so I've had the pleasure of seeing the community evolve and grow. The best part was not so much how the code4lib community has grown in size (but that's important too), but how it's grown in scope and inclusiveness.

And although I missed the very first Code4lib conference in Corvallis, Oregon, I was fortunate to be able to attend the next eight, from 2007 through 2014. Those conferences were some of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career (in terms of friends I made and stuff I learned) and I can't say enough thanks to the conference organizers who made that possible. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

To the good people of code4lib: Goodbye and best wishes!
