Applications are now being accepted from public libraries interested in participating in an IMLS-funded effort to support training for public librarians in building web archive collections that document local history.

The Internet Archive, working with partners from Queens Public Library, Cleveland Public Library, San Francisco Public Library, and OCLC’s WebJunction, launched the "Community Webs" program to provide education, cohort support, and services, for a group of librarians at 15 different public libraries.

The program is accepting applications and a link to the application form and other details can be found on a recent blog announcement (http://blog.archive.org/2017/07/18/imls-grant-to-advance-web-archiving-in-public-libraries/) or on the program's webpage (https://archive-it.org/blog/projects/community-webs/).
