Search Workbench ( https://searchworkbench.info ) is a stab at using interactive visualizations to assist in the process of constructing and refining a search against a very large citation database.

I hope it's useful for folks who do PubMed searching and think it might also serve as a proof-of-concept for using visualizations in other search applications...
