A new version of JHOVE <http://jhove.openpreservation.org/> is now
available for the digital preservation community to download and use. JHOVE
is the reference open source file format identification, validation and
characterisation tool for digital preservation, and part of the OPF
reference toolset.

This release incorporates contributions from the online JHOVE hack day
<http://openpreservation.org/blog/2017/05/09/jhove-spring-clean/> as well
as new features, fixes and refactoring. Notable features include support
for Exif metadata and ICC profiles in JPEG and TIFF images and improvements
to the WAVE module. One significant change is that the installer now allows
users some control over which modules they wish to install.
