The Director of Library Technology Services (LTS) is a creative, strategic, and experienced technology leader charged with overseeing and directing the LTS department, which includes three teams covering Core Systems and Infrastructure, Applications Development and Integration, and Computer Support Services. The Director oversees major systems, operations, and services for the Libraries, including the library management system, discovery platform, digital repository systems, the interlibrary loan system, various applications for library-wide functions, and staff and public computing. S/he will also provide leadership and take responsibility for the functioning and maintenance of the Libraries’ main web site and interfaces. 

In collaboration with the Head of Digital Scholarship Services, the Head of Data Services, and the Director for the Center for Media and Educational Technologies (CMET), s/he will also develop or modify new and existing infrastructure to support technology-intensive programs and services such as data management, digital scholarship, and digital publishing. This position collaborates closely with technology partners across the campus, as well as with the Libraries’ research and instructional librarians to integrate appropriate technology into library and academic support services. 

The incumbent will oversee LTS budgets, policies, purchasing, licensing, and operations, and will supervise a group of talented librarians and technologists to help the Libraries carry out its technology-intensive strategies. The incumbent will enhance direct technology services for staff and users by developing goals and measures to assess program success.
