Happy New Year 🎉!
In case you missed these announcements over the holidays, we have a lot going on (so far!) in 2018:
-
Help us make the DLF Forum an engaging, welcoming event by joining our 2018 DLF Forum Planning Committee! Time commitments
will be light, we promise!
-
Attending DHSI this summer? Join us at DLFxDHSI, our unconference on June 8-9 set around the theme of digital libraries, DH, and social justice! Interested in presenting a poster and/or lightning
talk at the unconference? Submit
a proposal here!
-
December 2017 marked the beginning of two new DLF working groups!
- Join the Technologies
of Surveillance Group and participate in their first virtual meeting on January 31 at 11 AM PST/12 PM MST/1 PM CST/2PM EST.
-
Join the new DLF group for professionals involved in supporting digital scholarship projects, coordinating community efforts, and bridging campus silos
with few resources, minimal infrastructure, and informal partnerships. Their first conversation to settle the most appropriate group name is going on now!
Contribute to the discussion.
-
Learn all about visual material management and advocacy at Visual Resources Association 2018! Anyone affiliated with a
DLF member institution is encouraged to apply for this
Kress+DLF Cross-pollinator Fellowship
by January 8!
-
The National Digital Stewardship Alliance, hosted by the DLF,
welcomes two new Coordinating Committee members: Karen Cariani and Sibyl Schaefer! We thank all the amazing candidates who participated in the election, and look forward to working with them through various NDSA groups and initiatives!
Best wishes,
Katherine
