Join the NCSU Libraries IT department and the Discovery Systems team as we develop software that enables innovative uses of technology, spaces, and collections as a Web Application Developer.

The Web Application Developer will play a lead role in the design, development, and support of applications that allow the NC State community to utilize the Libraries’ advanced technology spaces and video display walls for teaching, research, and community engagement. To support this primary portfolio, we are looking for some who will be comfortable developing technical leadership for the Python / Django development stack within the IT department. In addition, this position will be a contributing member of the larger Discovery Systems team that supports a variety of projects important to discovery and use of the Libraries’ resources, including the library catalog, room reservation system, course reserves system, and patron account interfaces. These applications are utilized by students, staff, and faculty across the university and span multiple programming languages, including Java, PHP, and Ruby on Rails.
