Hi Christian,

That would be great - particularly in terms of discussing strategies for smaller institutions.
The May Infrastructure Interest Group meeting is on the 21st at 3:00, so if you are available then, we should be all set. I will contact those of you who have volunteered when the date gets a little closer.

To everyone else - If there are other institutions that are using vendor tools or smaller institutions that are creating their own solutions from open source tools, we would love to include you in this discussion. I am hoping we can represent a fairly full range of strategies.

Thanks,

I'd be happy to talk about APTrust. While most our member institutions are bigger institutions, we recently started adding smaller scale institutions and have a drag-n-drop preservation tool in beta.

I'd be happy to talk about the digital preservation strategy that NARA published in 2017. (But a caveat - I'm on leave May 10-15)

As everyone can see below, in May the Infrastructure Interest Group will be looking at digital preservation strategies at different sized institutions. I am trying to put together a group of representatives to talk about what solutions they have come up with for their organization. Do you have a solution that is working well for you that you would be willing to talk about? This can be a fairly informal conversation, and not necessarily require a lot of preparation. If you are available and interested in providing information to organizations that are trying to figure out what will work for them, please contact me at my email below.

Best,

Leah
