Subject: NDSA Cloud Studies Subgroup - Next Friday (04/27) at 2pm ET
The NDSA Content & Infrastructure Interest Groups recently co-launched a new subgroup to study the implications of cloud platforms (for now broadly-defined) on
the work of digital preservation/curation. The first meeting was held on March 23rd and the minutes are available at the link below:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dd7S6CC0Idh3xSvhbAD7f0zG19UD8XrD_3SmjvEKlSY/edit?usp=sharing
This Cloud Studies Subgroup will be holding monthly calls that will be open to the community. Our next call is scheduled for April 27th at 2pm ET. Call-in
info is below. I’ll send a reminder and fuller agenda next week.
The initial thrust of this subgroup will be to use the calls as a forum for discussion and develop an NDSA OSF project space to begin collecting resources of interest
and relevance to this interesting and growing trend in our work (e.g., best practices, workflows, policies, use cases, case studies, technical specifications, etc.). The subgroup can co-create and define longer-term outputs and goals from there. We hope you
can join us!
