Introduction to Web Traffic Assessment Using Google Analytics


This four week course will introduce you to the basics of web traffic assessment with Google Analytics, the popular web traffic collection and analysis tool. By harnessing information gained from Google Analytics, you will be prepared to make evidence-based design and content management decisions for your library’s website(s). Using a demo account, you will interact with a live Google Analytics account, learning how to understand and analyze the data presented and how to create basic reports.


By the end of this course, you will be familiar with:

  *   Web traffic analysis best practices
  *   How to build a measurement framework
  *   Google Analytics’ account structure, vocabulary, and administrative dashboards
  *   How to use Google Analytics to collect and analyze basic website traffic to better understand usage patterns, such as popular content and referrers

This course can be taken as one of six courses needed to earn the <http://libraryjuiceacademy.com/certificate-ux.php> Certificate in User Experience (UX)<http://libraryjuiceacademy.com/certificate-ux.php>, but can be taken as a stand-alone course as well.
