Summary: The Information Technology Project Manager will provide project management support for software and systems development projects across the Library Technologies division of the IU Bloomington Libraries. This work includes serving as project manager for specific information IT projects; serving as Scrum Master for projects following the Scrum Agile software development methodology; setting and tracking progress toward goals, objectives, and project deliverables; providing reports to managers and library leadership on IT project progress and status; working with managers to allocate staff capacity and resources to IT projects; and tracking and reporting on overall project portfolio and staff project allocations within the Library Technologies division. This position will also provide support for the use of Agile and project management tools within the Libraries, including JIRA, Confluence, and custom project portfolio management tools.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in informatics, computer science, information science, or other relevant discipline. Three years of experience in project management, Scrum Master, or Scrum Product Owner role. Three years of experience working on complex software or IT systems development projects.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:  Knowledge and ability to apply traditional and agile project management methodologies to IT projects. Knowledge of Scrum Agile project management methodology and demonstrated ability to apply Scrum to software development projects. Knowledge of IT systems and network concepts. Knowledge of and ability to use project management, issue tracking, and source code management systems. Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to use relational database management systems and spreadsheets to support project management and reporting

Preferred: Certified Scrum Master, Project Management Professional, or other project management certification(s); Experience with JIRA, Waffle, or other Agile software project tools.
