We tend to be reluctant to air our own “dirty laundry” but it’s one of the must illustrative ways we can learn from each other. Please, be brave and tell your story so that someone else may be spared! We will NOT record this call to protect the anonymity of those sharing, but we will still find a way to have useful notes!

Dear colleagues — 

 

In preparation for an upcoming NDSA Infrastructure Interest Group call on the topic of information security, group organizers seek your feedback and participation. The call will be held at 3pm EST on September 17th. 

 

Has your institution ever been hacked? Breaches occur frequently at libraries/archives/museums, but talking about them can be intimidating. 

 

Please take our anonymized three-question survey “Security Confessions" to talk about security vulnerabilities that may have occurred on your campus, how they were identified, and what was done to fix them. Answers will be anonymized; no IP addresses will be collected. You may take the survey as many times as you like.
