Hello all. I have an essay on Scholarly Kitchen today that I think will
interest many in this group (particularly as it includes that this group
exists and an invite to engage!).

"We have to accept some limitations on our user research and its potential
applications in order to prioritize privacy. We also have to accept some
limitations on privacy in order to conduct user research."
https://scholarlykitchen.sspnet.org/2018/09/05/privacy-in-user-research-can-you/

I'm very grateful to Sarah Hare, Yasmeen Shorish, Kyle Jones, Shea Swauger,
and Andrew Asher (many members of this group) for their comments on early
drafts. In fact, they gave me so many comments that pushed past the basics
I have plenty of content for a follow up!

Best,
Lisa
