Apologies for the cross-posting. This message was sent to the PASIG mail list yesterday. We hope to see some of you in Mexico City!

---------

Happy Holidays! Please see information for the separate add-on seminars that will be taking place either before or after the February 12-14 Mexico City PASIG at El Colegio de México (Colmex). These meetings, while not part of the formal PASIG, are valuable resources for attendees. They are open to anyone, not just PASIG attendees. This information will be posted on the PASIG Mexico website at http://pasig2019.colmex.mx.

Additionally, as people leave for the holidays, please note that the Early Bird Special registration rate will be ending early January, 2019.

Thanks again to the conference organizers and the sponsors; LIBNOVA, Preservica, and Ex Libris! At the bottom of this email is the latest list of PASIG institutional attendees for your reference.

2. DIGITAL PRESERVATION PEER ASSESSMENT WORKSHOP (NORTHEAST DOCUMENT CONSERVATION CENTER)

Date: February 15, 2019

Time: 930 am-330 pm

Location: El Colegio de México, Biblioteca Daniel Cosío Villegas

Building a digital preservation program can be a complex undertaking, but performing an assessment can help manage the many steps needed to create a sustainable digital preservation program. Self-assessment and working with a consultant can both be valuable, but a peer assessment goes one step further to create a community of support for building and sustaining a digital preservation program. Participants will leave this workshop with a peer assessment tool to implement in their own communities and will gain valuable practice using the tool during the workshop.

Workshop teacher: Frances Harrell, Senior Preservation Specialist
