Overview: As a member of the Enterprise and User Services Team, this position is a key part of the group that manages the content that makes up the Library's web presence, and ensures that it is  accessible to all of our users.

Duties:


Using the Library’s Drupal CMS, works with Librarians and other stakeholders on the creation of new and the management of existing Library web content.


Takes the lead in executing broad content management efforts such as content audits and content migrations.


Provides technical support and is in charge of training the large body of staff users who have authorial roles in producing web content.


Serves as a member of the Library’s Website Steering Group, which is charged with reviewing Library web initiatives and sets standards for Library web content.


Collaborates with other members of the Enterprise and User Services Team in the collection and analysis of data analytics that facilitate assessment of Library websites.


Assists with ongoing user research and usability testing efforts related to the Library’s web presence and services.


Please note: this position is a two-year term appointment with the possibility of renewal.

Required Qualifications:


A Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of work experience, including at least a year of web content management experience, or an equivalent combination of credentials and work experience.


Demonstrated experience managing a content management system implemented using Drupal, WordPress, or equivalent software.


Demonstrated experience with conducting web content audits.


Demonstrated experience with constructing and editing HTML.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.


Able to work in a distributed/remote, multicultural, collaborative team environment


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience with collaborative/office tools, e.g. Google Drive and Docs, Slack, Zoom etc.).


Experience with project or content management tools such as Basecamp, Confluence/Jira, Trello, Github, or Libguides.


Familiarity with web analytics software such as Google Analytics.


Experience with usability testing and user research methodologies.


Familiarity with user research methodologies.


Familiarity with Web Accessibility Standards


Familiarity with with CSS and Javascript.
