The recent NDSA Cloud Studies Subgroup meeting (May 31st) featured a guest presentation from Mike Davis of Amazon Web Services (AWS). Mike is the Business Development Manager for AWS Storage. He
covered a range of details from the recent AWS-hosted Digital Preservation Summit in D.C. on May 8th, and answered questions about how Amazon is providing services relevant to accomplishing digital preservation. The presentation was recorded and
is linked below.
Mike picks up his presentation at the 10-minute mark. Feel free to skip ahead.
This month’s Cloud Studies Subgroup we are set to hear from David Friend of Wasabi Cloud Storage. They have an interesting cloud storage scaling, cost, and recovery model. Should be an interesting presentation.
That will be in June 28th at 1pm ET – stay tuned for the call-in info and reminders later next week.
