LAC Group seeks a Systems Librarian for an opportunity with a prestigious government library located in the Washington, D.C. area. This position will provide leadership in all aspects of IT systems administration in a heterogeneous computing environment. Work will be performed on-site. This is a full-time (40 hour a week; Monday-Friday) benefited position. Responsibilities: Analyze present and future technologies and systems as they relate to library functions Developing and implementing plans for integrating and upgrading electronic resources as part of the information services program Maintenance and administration of the Library’s electronic databases; user manuals; and reports Ensure that all information systems comply with the requirements of Section 508 Standards Shall provide sustained and dependable availability of the Library website and its associated applications and services Implement regular backup and recovery procedures to prevent loss of data Explore the use of innovative technologies, recommending modifications and improvements to the Library infrastructure Provide support, maintenance and assistance as needed with all IT servers Respond to Assessment and Accreditation activities Report all computer incidences and/or infractions Qualifications: BA/BS in information,CS, or related field preferred OR equivalent experience Should have 3 years of experience in security of computer systems and networks Experience with SIRSI ILS is preferred Must be able to work both independently and as part of a motivated and productive team Must have excellent attention to detail Must be well organized and capable of maintaining multiple projects with various stakeholders Ability to work with emerging technologies and learn new skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment ---- Brought to you by code4lib jobs: https://jobs.code4lib.org/jobs/37831-systems-librarian
