Hello colleagues! *Apologies for any cross-posting* The RIOXX metadata application profile was developed for UK repositories to share metadata about the scholarly resources they contain. It has been deployed as a metadata application profile in approximately 70 institutional repositories in the UK, and has software implementations in DSpace and ePrints. While originally designed to meet the reporting requirements of UK institutions, RIOXX has also proven to be generally useful as a standard for sharing metadata between repositories and network services such as large-scale metadata aggregators [1]. The UK Council of Research Repositories (UKCORR - https://www.ukcorr.org/) has been working energetically towards establishing alternative governance arrangements for RIOXX, as well as proposing revisions to the existing profile. I am therefore pleased to report that today an update to the RIOXX blog has been made which summarises the governance changes, but also solicits proposals for possible revisions to RIOXX. Since the profile has demonstrated its effective use in OAI harvesting its maintenance may be of interest to repositories outside the UK. The process of revision is to be 'radically open' and we would like to invite Code4Lib list members to get involved. Whatever your contribution, it is welcomed!
