Ever felt frustrated or confused when attempting to document your scholarly impact, such as for rank, tenure and/or promotion? Ever wondered why there was a disconnect between academic librarian scholarship and institutional expectations for scholarship? The Impactful Scholarship and Metrics Task Force is proposing a new ACRL framework that is designed to facilitate the work of academic institutions as they evaluate and update their guidelines for measuring the impact of academic librarian scholarship, and they want your feedback! The framework outlines a wide variety of scholarly outputs and creates two primary categories of impact-scholarly and practitioner-with a variety of metrics, measures, and altmetrics for the evaluation of each category. In this free open forum, task force representatives will discuss their background research findings, introduce a second draft of the proposed framework<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PQzUy1zX6jmcbcFo02Aols1FouWaT-EYuxrO40BWNSs/edit?usp=sharing>, and guide the participants in a conversation about the strengths, weaknesses, and next steps for this framework.
