Please join the NDSA Infrastructure Interest Group for a call on Monday, November 18 at 3pm ET / 12pm PT. Salwa Ismail, AUL for Digital Initiatives and Information Technology at UC Berkeley, will facilitate a session on Advocating for Resources. We will also discuss meeting topics for 2020, a review of the IIG charge, and IIG leadership.

 

Speaking of meeting topics, attendees of the working lunch at DigiPres 2019 had some great suggestions for 2020. These have been listed in an online poll where members can add additional topics and vote for their preferences. http://www.tricider.com/brainstorming/2VdFhfBVXVJ Results will be ranked and used for 2020 planning. Voting closes December 15 at 5pm ET.

 

Many topics suggested thus far relate to cloud infrastructure, near and dear to participants of the NDSA Cloud Studies group. There will be an important announcement about these two groups on the call, so I hope members of both groups are able to join. If you missed it, the September 16 IIG call featured a panel on trust and transparency in commercial cloud and distributed digital preservation solutions.
