OPEN PREPRINT SYSTEMS (OPS) BETA DEMO
Date: Wednesday, March 4, 2020
Time: 9AM-10AM Pacific Standard Time (PST)
Open Preprint Systems (OPS) is a free, open source preprint software built by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) and SciELO. OPS builds on the success and shared code base of Open Journal Systems (OJS) to offer a sustainable, global, and truly open solution for those seeking an alternative to centralized preprint servers. To learn more, check out our latest blog post, “The Road to Preprints.”
OPS 3.2 Beta is set to launch Friday, February 28, 2020 in conjunction with PKP’s OJS/OMP 3.2 release.  We will be doing an online demo on March 4th. Don’t miss this opportunity to see OPS in action, check out key features, and get the latest on future development plans.
New to preprints? PKP Associate Directors Juan Pablo Alperin and Alec Smecher will also share their thoughts on the future of preprints including how they’re helping transform scholarly communications towards a more open ecosystem.
No matter your background or experience, we hope this short webinar will offer all participants the opportunity to reflect on the key role that infrastructure plays in shaping scholarly activities.
Register online today! A link will be sent to participants prior to the event.
