Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to share a call for Ivy+ libraries to divest from police and
prisons and invest in life-giving resources. This call is part of a larger
movement for police-free libraries and was written in collaboration with
library workers at Ivy+ institutions. Although our work is specific to Ivy+
libraries (broadly conceived!), we think many of the things we're calling
for apply to other research libraries, and to the field more broadly.

Please read, sign, and share: http://bit.ly/ivy-divest

We welcome signatures from any interested library workers, students, or
library users.

This effort would not have been possible without previous calls to action
from students, faculty, and staff at our institutions, as well as the labor
and leadership of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ theorists, activists, and communities.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best wishes,
Alison Clemens
