Thank you, The Code4Lib 2021 Social Activities Committee ---------- Forwarded message --------- Subject: Call for event hosts - Code4Lib 2021 Social Events To: Code for Libraries <[log in to unmask]> Hello Code4Lib community, Planning for Code4Lib 2021 is in full swing! The Social Activities committee is currently planning exciting and engaging events to compliment this year’s online conference. From games to karaoke to trivia, we hope to recreate the inclusive, welcoming atmosphere of Code4Libs past. Stay tuned for details about how to sign up for these events soon. In the meantime, this year’s social events need people wranglers! We are currently seeking three hosts for two of our social events: *Community Gathering (2 hosts)*: The Community Gathering will combine the sharing ethos from our various past events where people shared games, music, and food and give the community the opportunity to share their passions and talents. Our hosts will manage the flow of talks/performances during the Community Gathering and keep the Community Gathering interactive through Q&A facilitation between presenters and audience. *Karaoke Night (2 hosts)*: Who says you can’t sing your heart out in front of your fellow conference goers online? Our hosts will help manage the platform used for the event, help troubleshoot technical glitches, and keep the songs moving along. The Social Activities committee will assist hosts in planning and support, so you won’t go it alone. This is a great way to get involved with the conference if you are looking for volunteer opportunities, but wanting something a little different where you can be creative.
