Hello all,

I am seeking participants for a research study designed to explore the
current use and applications of low-cost and flexible “maker” technologies
(such as the Raspberry Pi and Arduino) employed in libraries to solve
various problems (e.g., counting patrons, hosting an interactive
informational display, among others).

If you choose to take part in this study, you would be asked to do the
following: 1) complete a brief demographic survey, which includes your
prior or current use of single-board or microcontrollers within a library,
and 2) participate in a virtual interview held via Zoom. The interview
session will take approximately 45-60 minutes and will be audio-recorded.

In order to participate in this study, individuals must be 18 years of age
or older, are currently using or have used a single-board computer or
microcontroller to solve a problem within a library setting, currently are
(or were at the time of the project) a librarian or employed by a library,
and have access to a computer with Zoom, internet access, a microphone, and
(optionally) a camera.

Approximately 20 participants will be recruited for this study.
Participants will receive a $75 Amazon.com gift card at the conclusion of
the session.

If you are interested in participating or have any questions about the
study, please contact Dr. Monica Maceli at [log in to unmask] to schedule
your session.

Best,
