Hi my esteemed listmates,

I'm trying to figurer out how to create a Timleline liks this (below) so I

I like how they circle areas in red so you can see exactly where they are
on a page when speaking about a task and what it looks like.

Far too many YT tutorials go on for 20 minutes, or hours and you have no
idea which skills are taught when in the video so you’re forced to watch
the whole video when you may only need to watch certain portions of that
video.

This is critical when you’re learning new software without a background in
that kind of software or if you’re updating skills in a familiar
application but only want/need to learn certain skills.

Ex. You’re trying to learn DaVinci Resolve Free and you’re not interested
in learning it all its features (some way early to begin learning in your
first foray) in a 2 hour video.

Say, you just want to learn how to Sort in Excel. If Sorting was on a
graphic at 5:35 you could just click on Sort on that timeline and the video
portion about how to Sort would play.

Has anyone found a good "teaching" graphics/video tool for creating and
linking a video to the skill sets appearing at that point in the learning
video you created?

Have you used any video editing software to draw circles around area in a
video? Is that just done in a Powe Point?

Your thoughts, as always, are greatly appreciated.

Best,

Charles.
