Greetings email archiving colleagues,

The ePADD+ project is excited to release our final functional requirements document, viewable here or through the link on our project page. These requirements are a result of scholarly research, community stakeholder consultation, and project partner expertise.

We previously released our initial draft of requirements for this project in April 2021, which was then open for comment through the end of May 2021. We also held a Community Meeting in May to facilitate discussions and foster community around this widely adopted open source tool. Feedback from the draft requirements and open meeting was incorporated, and the team continued to tweak the requirements as we delved into the code and navigated what was possible within the scope of the project.

Although we are releasing this final requirements document now, development on ePADD+ is underway! The ePADD+ project team is aiming to host a second Community Meeting in the beginning of 2022, to demonstrate our progress. We will additionally host a final Community Meeting at the termination of our project, to demonstrate the full set of functionality, as well as providing extensive documentation and training around the new functions. You can also catch members of our team presenting on our progress at iPres 2021 and DigiPres 2021.

The ePADD+ project is generously funded through the Email Archives: Building Capacity and Community regrant program, administered by the University of Illinois and funded through the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. If you have questions for the ePADD+ project team, feel free to reach out to our project PI, Stephen Abrams ([log in to unmask]) or our project co-managers, Jess Smith ([log in to unmask]) and Tricia Patterson ([log in to unmask]). To stay updated on our project, follow along on any of these platforms:
