The Society of American Archivists’ Privacy and Confidentiality Section is delighted to announce a 2021-22 webinar series, Digital Tools for Privacy and Confidentiality.

To start us off, digital preservationist and software developer Tessa Walsh will present a demo of Bulk Reviewer, an application that supports the identification, review, and removal of sensitive digital files. The demo will be followed by a Q&A session; attendees are welcome to submit questions, or share tips from their own experience with the tool, either in advance via this form or via chat during the event. Registration is free and open to anyone interested in how this tool might be used in born-digital processing

The Bulk Reviewer presentation will occur Tuesday, November 16 from 2-2:45 pm Eastern/1-1:45 pm Central; registration is available here. For those unable to attend the event, a recording will be made available on SAA’s YouTube channel.

We also invite proposals from those who are interested in hosting or co-hosting a future event in this series--if you have experience using digital tools with privacy and confidentiality applications in your archival work, please consider filling out this form, and we'll be in touch!

Best wishes,

Katrina Windon

SAA Privacy & Confidentiality Section Chair
