Please nominate yourself or others by completning this form<https://montana.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_brsIlIhsaAmEkaW> on or before January 7.

A copy of our original message and fuller details is below our signatures.

Thanks,

Jason and Sara

--- ORIGINAL MESSAGE ---

DLF Data and Digital Scholarship working group (DLFdds) is seeking nominations and self-nominations for two new co-conveners.

To nominate yourself or others, please complete this form<https://montana.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_brsIlIhsaAmEkaW> by January 7.

DLFdds is a community of practice focused on implementing research data and digital scholarship services. The group focuses on shared skill development, peer mentorship, networking, and collaboration. DLFdds aims to create a self-reliant, mutually supportive community: a network of institutions and individuals engaged in continuous learning about research data management, digital scholarship, and research support. For more information on the history of the group and past projects, please see our Working Group Wiki<https://wiki.diglib.org/Digital_Scholarship_Working_Group>.

Over the past year, the group has offered 5 interactive webinars. Most recently, we have formed a collaboration with Research Libraries UK’s Digital Scholarship Network<https://www.diglib.org/building-a-transatlantic-digital-scholarship-skills-exchange-for-research-libraries-moving-forward/>, offering transatlantic skill-building tools and networking opportunities.

DLFdds is an open and flexible working group, and new co-conveners have the opportunity to shape and grow the community in new ways. Current co-conveners Sara Mannheimer and Jason Clark will provide mentorship and support to new co-conveners for 6 months.

Benefits

  * Work within a vital and leading library organization to support data services and digital scholarship.
  * Shape the community of practice for a set of data services and digital scholarship professionals.
  * Promote the important work of the community and establish a wide network for learning.

  * Plan and facilitate group meetings, webinars, and collaborative activities. This includes scheduling regular sessions, establishing agendas, coordinating web conferencing, communicating to the WG about activities, facilitating meetings and note taking.
  * Lead DLF Forum submissions and attend/present at DLF Forum if possible
  * Facilitate calls for nominations for future co-conveners
  * Manage group documentation on the DLF Wiki<https://wiki.diglib.org/Digital_Scholarship_Working_Group> and OSF<https://osf.io/pdn8z/>
  * Meet with DLF leadership as needed

Please contact Sara Mannheimer<mailto:[log in to unmask]> and Jason Clark<mailto:[log in to unmask]> with questions.
